Thomson custom-drawn alloy drop bars are optimized with performance-based bends, paired with tough, durable features. The lineup includes 3 profiles with varying widths, shapes and flares to meet all disciplines of drop bar goodness. Made from 7000 series aluminum, and sharing the carbon drop bar shapes, the alloy drops feature 3 profiles a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop. In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion, Aaron Gwin, to redesign our DH-R EVO brakes. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup-winning performance. Working closely with the TRP development team, improvements were made in nearly every part of the brake and tested on the world cup circuit throughout the season. We took most of the changes made to the DH-R EVO brakes and put them into the Slate T4.
