In collaboration with 77 Designz We Are One has manufactured one of the world's lightest and strongest bar and stem combos. We Are One's unique, yet simple design maximizes clamping surface area while spreading the clamping force through the whole area of the sleeve. Featuring a patent pending location nipple on the carbon bar. With the carbon nipple, you can ensure alignment is perfect and capture the sleeve so it does not rotate. Da Bar has also been designed to a 33mm diameter in order to drop the stiffness and allow for the sleeve to slide into our 35mm clamp diameter of Da Stem. A new way of thinking about 35mm. Da Package is We Are One's foray into the controls department. They have thoroughly tested both Da Bar and Da Stem in-house on their own test equipment. Using their test rig, they also were able to achieve the ideal required stiffness for the best ride feel possible while maintaining a DH standard. Both Da Bar and Da Stem are no slouch, punching way above its weight class! Technical Specs: Da Bar - 800mm wide stock with marked cut lines to allow for a cut to size of 740mm total. It is offered in 20, 27.5 and 35mm rise options with an 5-degree up-sweep and a 8-degree back sweep. Da Bar weighs in at 215g for the carbon portion and 12g for the sleeve. Da Stem - Made from 7075 aircraft aluminum and machined on our mill in a unique 6 stage process. The stem comes in at a mind-blowing 80g weight for the 35mm and 86g weight for the 45mm. The goal for the new OneUp Carbon Handlebars was to make the best feeling bar possible, something which would let us ride harder for longer. The solution is our patent pending oval shape which combines the best ride characteristics of 31.8mm and 35mm bar standards into one package. This is the most comfortable bar we’ve ever ridden, period. It's strong, lightweight, minimizes arm pump and vibration and maximize steering response. 35 done right. Almost every other carbon bar on the market copies the simple tapered profile of an Aluminum bar. With carbon you can take advantage of more complex shapes to get a better performing product, so that's what we did. If you actually care about bar compliance, then you don't make a regular 35mm diameter bar. Sure you can try to "optimize" the flex slightly with layup, but geometry is king and you're fighting a losing battle. The OneUp bar profile minimizes the length of the 35 diameter clamping area as this is the stiffest portion of any 35 diameter bar. The 35mm clamp diameter quickly changes to a flattened, oval shape in the transition zone and then to a standard 22.2mm clamp diameter for the control zone. We benchmarked the OneUp bar against the most popular carbon bars on the market as well as foam filled aluminum bars. The results were, on average, a 21% increase in vertical compliance (comfort) coupled with a 28% increase in steering stiffness (responsiveness). These are more than just marginal gains.
